I would carry any item if it meant I got a trail of virmen trailing behind
me and I don’t have much WOW gold.
Seriously, it is Week-Old Carrot Casserole, I'd still carry it. Hell, even
without the speed boost. Having a bunch of that little running after me and
never being able to catch me? Yes, please. I'd like a virmen flute. When I play
it I get a 5 minute buff that allows me to drag all the virmen outside of their
aggro areas that I run into, into a space where I can nuclear bomb them to
rabbit bones.
"There's a two good reason that's make now the perfect time for these toys
reintroduction." I think the editors need to be doing more than just looking for
red spell-check squiggles. Maybe convert the old items to a "increase ground
mount speed by 10% for 15 minutes" with a 20 minute cooldown (not useable in bg
or arenas). Helps with dailies, not OP...
We have an assortment of speeds we can train our flying mounts with, but
our Ol' Blanchy ground mount seems unable to learn anything above a canter (100%
riding). Instead of more trinkets, why not give us the option to learn how to
buy WOW gold and how to ride like the
wind - say 120% and 150% ground speed? Or even 200%? Yes, I know you could write
macros or drag trinkets onto your cast bar to make things easier, but you
shouldn't have to go to that far just to make an item basically functional. Why
don't level 20 ground mounts go +100%? Because it's fun to upgrade your stuff
and you instead of getting everything handed to you. So, then, why not just make
it an additional level of Riding skill?
Lest we forget, the Riding Crop was a 7g item that was mandatory to buy
from the AH once on every alt. You'd macro it to a mount or an add-on and then
forget it ever existed, except to curse it when you found it equipped in combat.
The 'fun' wasn't going faster; because everybody had one - 110% was the new
baseline speed. If it worked in your bags, it would still be a mandatory item,
except you would never look at it again. Oh, and it'd take up a bag slot. So, if
the solution is to make it a new Riding skill level, that becomes mandatory and,
if expensive, WOW gold sink. And, again of course, it becomes the new
baseline.
